William Donaghy was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa, and is currently studying Public Relations and Fashion Communications at Iowa State Universities Greenlee School.
I enjoy using my developed visionary skills through my passion for writing and leadership to create exceptional results. I am fervent about effective communication and have interests in areas such as advertising, public relations, creative direction, brand and company promotion, social media and marketing.
As a designer, I love expressing my creativity in any way possible. I have a passion for aesthetics and fashion and hope to live in a big city working in the fashion industry. Fashion greatly impacts me, and I hope my designs can inspire others one day!

News Release
I was tasked to write a news release for the company Pure Mountain Fun and their recent release of a snowboarding pack made to "ease the climb" when carrying equipment from the car to the slopes. I chose to showcase this assignment due to my clear and concise writing. The news release creatively illustrates the brand while only using what is newsworthy and necessary.
Blog Post
I wrote this blog post for All Aboard or Kids, a unique four-week summer program that brings autism spectrum disorder children (grades K-12) and their peers together in a fun, structured learning environment. All Aboard for Kids and Dog Eared Books are local businesses in Ames, IA, so I wrote a post that supports both businesses by recommending books based on autism awareness. I chose to showcase this piece because it is relevant and supports local companies. The writing isn't out of touch nor difficult to grasp and excites the Ames community through collaboration.
